Sophie Lucas

Bio for Website: Sophie Lucas lived and studied in France. She holds a Master’s degree in Art History and studied technical drawing, drafting, design development, as well as figure and architectural drawing. Passionate about painting, she decided to devote herself fully to it while continuing to work on interior design and renovation projects.

Materials and Techniques: My art is inspired by the complexity of the human spirit and the psychological battles that shape our vision of the world and our interactions with others. Through my oil paintings, I seek to touch the viewer, inviting them to reflect on their own emotional experiences while celebrating the resilience and power of the human saoul because I wanted to put image on the invisible things. 
In 2007, I started to developing my abstract art Miracle of Life (french title : Articulations Immobiles). This work is marked by the influence of American Abstract Expressionism, French Nouveau Réalisme and Nature-driven Japanese sensibility. I tried to develop a view by full color immersive monumetals and meditative paintings.
