Bio for Website: We are a family owned and operated pottery studio. Richard, Teri, and Adam all work together to produce each of these pieces. Combined, we have well over 100 years of experience making pottery.

Materials and Techniques: Our work showcases the intersection of chemistry, time, and chance through crystalline glazed porcelain. Each piece begins as a carefully formed vessel, but the final surface emerges through a highly controlled firing process. This firing encourages the growth of crystals in the glaze. The firing is much like what happens when gems or minerals form in nature - only faster. The elements melt, combine, and slowly crystallize forming radiant structures that bloom across the surface. 

Each piece is hand made and one of a kind. We formulate our own glazes and continue to experiment with new glazes with every firing. Each piece is fired at cone 10 at our studio in Quincy, Massachusetts.
